In Vietnam you run into a lot of French tourists. This is Roland from Lyon, with nearby Sam Mountain in the background, a few kilometres from ChaoDoc and the Cambodian border, about 30 minutes away by bike. Sam Mountain is interesting if only for it's intense bad taste. Roland's father served with the French occupying forces in Vietnam after WW2 but had to leave Dien Bien Phu (in northern Vietnam) suddenly in 1954 when his visa expired.
