A well stocked grocery store down south. You can see by the bright light in the photo how hot it is, so I wedged myself inside the relative cool of the shop to drink my Coke. It was another experience of that wonderful Thai hospitality. A stool is brought out for me to sit on, a few polite words are exchanged and encouraging gestures made towards the bike.

The black thing hanging over the side pannier is my formal night wear; a long sleeved black shirt, which I'm trying to get dry. I like to look my best in the evenings. Note the guy in the turban and the bottles of 7-Up on his left.
